From a small garage to the big world

The first Maseliving product was created 7 years ago in a garage in Greve. Owner and designer Vibeke became a mother for the first time in August 2014, she had a great desire to create a unique children’s room. She was looking for some unique children’s wall hooks, but it was not possible to find what she was looking for. So she decided to create her own. She went to Vesterbro in Copenhagen where she carved a air balloon out of wood. She took this home to the garage and bought hangers and with her hands created a beautiful, unique and durable air balloon wall hook, which can also be seen in the logo.

She was so happy with the beautiful new creation for her son’s room that she shared a picture of it on her Instagram. That same evening there was great interest and demand and just 3 days later the first retailer contacted her. Her son Mason was the inspiration behind the first products, hence the name Maseliving.

Today, Maseliving has more than 100 retailers around the world, and has also grown out of the small garage. We now have a large warehouse/factory located just outside Koge. Everything is still handmade here, and it is also where the design, packaging and shipping are done.

The original cloud mirror

Vibeke is a educated physiotherapist and knows how important it is that babies spend as many of their waking hours as possible on their stomachs to strengthen their back and neck muscles. The prone position is the best starting point for your child’s motor development. Because it prepares your child to crawl, sit and walk in an appropriate way.

She missed a mirror for the changing table which is not round or square. So at home she designed a cloud mirror that would fit the theme of her first creation the air balloon. She took her newly purchased wooden and acrylic sheets under her arm and drove to Vesterbro. This also came home to the garage where it was sanded and glued, so here the first original cloud mirror was created back in 2015.

At Maseliving, design and quality is taken to higher level. All our handmade wooden products are designed, produced, packed and shipped from our own factory in Koge, Denmark. And whether we are talking about our popular original cloud mirrors, exclusive lamps, wall hooks or one of our other products, you will easily be able to see and feel that we do not compromise with quality of any of our products.

Our collection of textiles is produced from 100% organic cotton in a GOTS certified factory, which is the perfect match for our handmade wooden products. All our products is created with love, care and respect for the environment and the people we work with. We want to contribute to a sustainable future where our children can grow up in a safe, healthy and beautiful world.

The products are produced in a modern Nordic and simple look, where quality, sustainability and functionality are the focus.
